Cody Stokowski
Legal Coach
Cody is a legal coach and family lawyer committed to reducing conflict and promoting productive co-parenting. Through his focus on providing accessible and affordable legal services, he helps families navigate the legal system with confidence and peace of mind.
Cody is a proud Albertan who grew up playing competitive hockey and went on to complete his undergraduate degree in Business Management Studies at the University of Alberta. After his undergraduate studies, Cody decided to pursue a career in law and moved to Australia to complete his law degree.
Since 2019, Cody has exclusively practiced family law and is accredited to practice law in both Canada and Australia. He is currently working towards his Master of Laws (LLM) in International Taxation at Osgoode Hall Law School, York University, further expanding his knowledge and expertise to better serve his clients. Cody is an experienced legal coach and family lawyer. He has appeared in the Provincial Court of Alberta and the Alberta Court of King’s Bench on an array of matters including child mobility/relocation, parenting, Hague Convention international child abduction matters, child and spousal support claims, and complex matrimonial property division matters in Canada, the United Kingdom and elsewhere.
He has working relationships with finance and tax experts who can assist business valuations, income assessment for support purposes, investing family property and financial assets, and cross-border tax filing issues.
Cody understands the overwhelming stress that family law disputes can cause for his clients and their families, and he is committed to providing effective and compassionate legal coaching services. Cody’s goal is to not only coach his client through the complexities of the legal system with confidence, but also to empower them to achieve their desired outcomes and move forward with their lives. Cody is committed to giving back to the community and has volunteered with Calgary Legal Guidance and provided pro-bono legal service at a commercial law clinic. He is an active member in the community and is a proud father.
