We’re honoured to announce that Coach My Case has been named the 2025 Consumer Choice Award recipient for paralegal services!
This recognition means so much to us. Coach My Case was founded in response to the growing frustrations people had about accessing professional legal services at a price they could afford. Too many of them faced insurmountable barriers when trying to get legal help. If you didn’t fall at either end of the spectrum—a budget to afford $300+-per-hour lawyers or being at a low enough income bracket to qualify for Legal Aid—you were left with tough choices: walk away or self-represent and face an unfamiliar world of legal jargon and complex processes.
We knew change was necessary, so the focus was on giving our clients options, restoring their control, and empowering them to approach self-representation with confidence. This is where our paralegal services came in. Recognizing that traditional legal services were often cost-prohibitive, we leveraged our experienced paralegals to offer support at a more affordable rate. With our supervising lawyers providing them with guidance and legal advice for complex matters, we were able to offer comprehensive, high-quality services at reasonable rates
This model also allowed us to offer more thoughtful support to self-represented litigants, particularly with procedural aspects of their cases, such as serving and filing documents or organizing evidence for court. Our paralegals, with years of experience assisting lawyers, excel at these tasks, ensuring clients feel supported and equipped to navigate their legal matters effectively.
To extend our reach, we introduced 100% remote services that allow us to support rural and underserved communities where quality legal help is often scarce while keeping costs down. Understanding the pressures of managing a family budget, we implemented a pay-as-you-go model and trained our team to have open, transparent conversations with our self-reps about budgeting. These approaches strengthened our commitment to maximizing support while minimizing costs, ensuring clients receive the best value.

It’s a reflection of our dedication to providing high-quality, responsive support, backed by you and the wonderful things you’ve shared about our legal coaches and paralegals. It shows that our mission—to offer thoughtful, accessible options in family law—has made a real difference.
